According to an email from Brownwood police:
Narcotics investigators with the Brownwood Police Department and the Brown County Sheriff’s Office conducted a follow-up investigation in the parking lot of the Brown County Courthouse related to an arrest that had just been made on a wanted person.
One of the investigators noticed the steering column of a vehicle parked in the parking lot had been altered in a way that is consistent with a stolen vehicle. A communications check confirmed that the vehicle was reported stolen from Dallas.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as Greenrock, was asked to exit the vehicle so investigators could investigate further.
Upon hearing the instructions to exit the vehicle, the driver began shoving his left
arm and hand behind his back in an attempt to conceal something.
The driver did exited the vehicle and investigators discovered a quart size clear plastic zip-loc bag that contained more than 17 grams of a white crystal like substance that appeared to be methamphetamine. Also, lying next to the apparent methamphetamine was a small zip-loc that contained several small blue tablets that were identified as alprazolam.
At the conclusion of the investigation, the driver was arrested and transported to
the Brown County Jail.
