With Veterans Day falling on a Sunday, area schools will hold various programs through Monday.

 

Brownwood ISD

Northwest Elementary School will host its Veterans Day program 8:15 a.m. Friday, then Woodland Heights Elementary School will have its Veterans Day assembly at the flagpole at 9 a.m. East Elementary School will have its Veterans Day Ceremony Monday at 8:30 a.m. Later that day, Coggin Intermediate School will host a 6 p.m. Veterans Day Concert for its Monday and Wednesday classes and Tuesday and Thursday classes will hold their concert 6 p.m. Tuesday.

 

Early ISD

Early High School, along with title sponsors Bruner Auto Group and Solaris Oilfield Infrastructure, will host a Veterans Day Assembly inside the EHS gymnasium 10 a.m. Thursday, followed by an 11:30 a.m. lunch across Early Boulevard inside the Early Small Business Complex.

 

Bangs ISD

Members of the Bangs Middle School student council will lead a Veterans Day assembly 9 a.m. Monday. The assembly is expected to last 30 to 45 minutes and include musical accompaniment by the Bangs High School Band. The program will also feature guest speakers as well as an Armed Forces Medley Salute. Following the assembly the district will host a catered reception for veterans and invite any of their children or grandchildren to dine with them.

 

Blanket ISD

The Blanket School District invites veterans to come and eat with their students from 10:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Monday.

 

Zephyr ISD

Before heading off for their regular season finale against Lometa, the Zephyr High School football team will honor veterans at its pep rally. The pep rally begins at 3 p.m. inside the gymnasium.
