The December session of the Brown County Grand Jury returned indictments against three men in connection with the Oct. 14 burglary of Brownwood High School.

The grand jury returned indictments for engaging in organized criminal activity against Victor Aaron Rodriguez, 20, of Brownwood; Christian Charles Teyl Carey, 18, of Brownwood; and Aaron Lee Tolbert, 20, documents in district clerk Cheryl Jones’ office state.

Rodriguez was also indicted for evidence tampering.

According to an earlier email from Brownwood police:

The morning after the burglary, police released surveillance photos of the suspects on social media and for assistance in identifying the suspects. Within hours, numerous tips were received leading to the identification of the three.

Detectives executed a search warrant at a residence in the 3600 block of second street on Oct. 17. Detectives recovered property stolen from the high school at that residence and at another Brownwood residence.

In an unrelated case, the grand jury returned an indictment against Quinci Sue Jones, 33, for assault against a police officer in connection with a Sept. 5 domestic disturbance.

According to an earlier email from Early police:

Officers responded to an apartment at 130 Sudderth on a report of yelling and screaming coming from an apartment. Officers heard yelling and screaming as well as a child crying from inside the apartment.

Officers made contact with the occupants, and one of the occupants, identified as Jones, refused to comply with officers’ commands.

Officer Michelle Sheedy received minor injuries during a scuffle with the suspect and was treated at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
