The Brownwood Walmart recently presented a $2,500 check to Brownwood Project Graduation 2019.

Michael Cloy, president of the Brownwood High School Project Graduation, commented on the grant in an email to the Bulletin:

The Brownwood High School Class of 2019 Project Graduation wishes to recognize and thank our local Walmart for their  generous grant of $2,500 for Brownwood High School Project Graduation.

Project Graduation is  a celebration of the graduating seniors from the class of 2019 in a safe, non-alcohol or drug environment, that is held each year on graduation night.  The seniors, and their family members, spend the year raising money in order to provide entertainment, food and drink, prizes, and cash for the seniors as they prepare for the next phase of their life.

Walmart has consistently participated in this community event nationwide in the form of a Project Celebration Grant.  This year, BHS class of 2019 project graduation received the maximum amount of the Grant from the Walmart Foundation.

The BHS Class of 2019 again wishes to say thank you Walmart for your involvement in the community of Brownwood, as well as the lives of the students of Brownwood Independent School District.
