Maurice Reynolds of Brownwood passed away Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

Visitation will be held at Greater Faith Community Church from 6-8 p.m. on July 26, 2019. Funeral services will be held at Greater Faith Community Church at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2019.

Maurice was born Nov. 1956 in Wilson, N.C. to Joseph and Mazie Reynolds. He received his education from Willingboro, New Jersey, and graduated from John F. Kennedy High School. After high school Maurice moved to Bangs, Texas with his mother and father. He worked at Montgomery Ward’s grocery store and Wyatt’s Steak house in Coleman, Texas. In 1983 he met and married the love of his life, Cindy Nickerson.

Maurice loved to fish, sing and dance as well as play ball until he got older. He also had a passion for detailing cars. He was an auto body man and worked at Blevins Body Shop for over 30 years.

Maurice was preceded in death by his father Joseph Reynolds, daughter Tiffany Reynolds and son Brandon Reynolds.

Left to cherish his memories are: wife, Cindy Reynolds of Brownwood; his mother Mazie Reynolds; children William Nickerson (Lacey), Shanelle Reynolds, Justin Reynolds and  Ashley Reynolds, all of Brownwood, Texas; sisters Linda Hall of Bangs, Dennice Stribling (Lloyd) of New Jersey, Juliet Williams (George) of San Angelo, Robin Minor of San Angelo, Gwen Smith (Vincent) of Mansfield and Melissa Reynolds of Mexia; brothers Bishop Eric Reynolds (Rella) of Bear, Deleware, Kenneth Reynolds of Dallas; 12 grandchildren; close cousin Reggie Barfield; and a host of extended family and many friends.
