TEXASBANK CHRISTMAS CRAFT SHOW IN BANGS
The TexasBank Christmas Craft Show, located at the Bangs branch at 501 East Hall, is now open through Christmas. More than 30 area artists and craftsmen will display all types of handmade items for show and sale. This show is of no cost to the artists or the public, but is a public service of Texas Bank, Bangs Branch, to offer the local artists a chance to sale their hand crafted creations and to give the public an opportunity to see and purchase. It is worth your drive to see the wonderland of unique handmade creations. The sale is open all banking hours: Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 14 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Brownwood Art Association's Annual Chili Luncheon and Miniature Art Sale Fundraiser will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6 at 215 Fisk Avenue is Brownwood. BANGS CHRISTMAS PARADE DEC. 7
Sponsored by the Bangs MDD (Municipal Development District), the Bangs Lions Club will be presenting this year's Christmas parade. The parade is scheduled for Dec. 7. Lineup will begin at 5:30 p.m. near the bus barn on Gantt St., with the parade kicking off at 6:30 p.m. The parade will go down Fitzgerald, turn on First Street and end at Bangs City Park (not the ball fields). The best decorated entrant this year will win $50. There is no entry fee — just show up. At the conclusion of the parade, (bring your cameras) you can have photos taken with Santa at the city park. NO EMPTY BOWL BAKE SALE DEC. 7
The No Empty Bowl Bake Sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 3:50 p.m. Dec. 7 at Firestone Tire to benefit the pet food pantry and TNR Brownwood. All kinds of baked goods, muffins, muffin tops, loaf cakes and more. Donation of pet food and cat litter appreciated. We will be raffling two gift cards to be drawn during the sale. REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES MEET AND GREET DEC. 10
Brown County Republican Women’s Club will host a “Republican Candidates Meet and Greet” event from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10 at Teddy’s Brewhaus, 102 Fisk Avenue in Brownwood. Come out and meet the candidates who will be on the March 3 ballot for the Republican Party Primary Election. This is an opportunity meet the candidates who are running for office and learn where they stand on issues of importance to our community, state and nation. 2019 has been a year that has challenged every citizen in America to stand up for what we believe in and what America stands for. We know that 2020 is going to be a challenge and we will need all Republicans to join in the effort…come join us…learn more about the candidates who are running for office. The first annual Children's Christmas Rally will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14 at Northridge Baptist Church located at 4875 U.S. 183 North in Early. ‘A STAGECOACH CHRISTMAS’ SET FOR DEC. 14-15
Stagecoach Station Venues will host two nights of family entertainment on Dec. 14-15. Activities will include hayrides under the lights through Santa’s Village, photo opportunities and visiting with Santa Claus, a nativity petting zoo, food, and live music. Performances on Saturday include the Early Elementary Choir, East Elementary Honor Choir, Amazed Grace and more while the celebration of the spirit of Christmas continues on Sunday with the 9th Street Band and Friends.
