A San Saba man killed three people, including a 13-year-old, early Friday morning in their home, according to multiple media outlets.
San Saba ISD confirmed one of its middle school students was killed during the incident.
Texas Department of Public Safety Sgt. Bryan Washko said the other victims were a 62-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman.
An 18-year-old woman was also stabbed, but Washko said she escaped and called 911 about 4:30 a.m.
Superintendent Wayne Kelly said the school district was notified that one of its students was involved in a homicide about 6:45 a.m. Feb. 21 about one mile from the school, the report stated.
The suspect fled the scene and was apprehended in neighboring Mills County.
San Saba deputies told the Mills County Sheriff's Department they were in a pursuit with a small pickup.
The pickup crashed into a building in Goldthwaite, according to the report.
Anthony Wayne Pierce, 22, was arrested as a suspect and is in Mills County Jail.
Kelly said the student was a seventh-grade girl, according to the report. He said it was believed to be a family-violence situation.
San Saba ISD has counselors set up for crisis counseling in the middle-school library to talk with students, according to an email from Kelly to school parents.
