Brownwood City Council members will consider action Tuesday related to the construction of a new Chick-fil-A restaurant at 500 E. Commerce — the location of Skillet’s Restaurant.
Council members will discuss two items in executive session before reconvening into open session to consider action.
The first item pertains to the sale of property to the Brownwood Industrial Foundation and an entity known a site Brownwood CFA LLC pursuant to an incentive agreement to build a Chick-fil-A restaurant.
The second item is the ratification of incentives to be offered to Biscotti Development to build a Chick-fil-A.
On Feb. 18, the Brownwood Municipal Development District approved a development and infrastructure incentive of up to $100,000 plus fill dirt to Lisciotti Development for the development of a Chick-fil-A at the East Commerce location.
Lisciotti Development has a purchase contract for the property for the construction and development of a Chick-fil-A, according to a press release from the Brownwood Municipal Development District.
Earlier this month, information on the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation website indicated a Chick-fil-A restaurant is coming to Brownwood.
The Brownwood City Council meeting begins at 9 a.m.
