The Brownwood/Brown County Health Department reported Tuesday the total confirmed COVID-19 cases in Brown County remained at 38. Six COVID-related deaths have occurred in the county.

The health department received four negative test results Tuesday, a press release from the City of Brownwood states.

The city also issued a press release Monday which follows:

On Monday May 4, 2020, the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department received 13 negative test results and two positive test results.

Of the two confirmed positive test results, one is a resident of the same nursing home as the other positive cases. The second positive case is a nursing home employee of the same facility.

The employee is in quarantine, and has had little interaction in the community. No results were received over the weekend.

A sixth nursing home resident has passed away related to COVID-19.

The total COVID-19 cases in Brown County is now 38 and six deaths.

Brown County Health Department has set up two hotline numbers for questions about COVID-19. The numbers are325-642-2635 or 325-430-5933.Calls are taken from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. A health department employee will answer questions and may perform a health screening over the phone.
