Special to the Bulletin
The Brown County Water Improvement Dist. No.1 has added a new public dock at the north end of Lake Brownwood Dam.
The two docks should allow the public to load and unload up to 12 boats at a time during bad weather or heavy-use times such as weekends and holidays.
The dock was built using the districtís Lake Patrol and District Funds.
The lake is full and if the weather co-operates, lake officials expect to see a lot of people at the lake during the summer.
The Lake Patrol wants to remind boaters to use caution on the lake.
Always watch out for others on the water, whether they are in boats, on personal watercraft, or are skiing.
The Water Districtís Rules and Regulations concerning boating can be found on the districtís web site at www.bcwid.org and in the brochures that are at most marinas and businesses around the lake.
The Texas Water Safety Act is also available at those locations.
