EARLY — City council members appointed Jim Coley to the Early Economic Development Corp. Board Tuesday night.
Coley was appointed to fill the term of Shelly Woods. She resigned after her husband, Mike, an Early City Council member, got a job promotion and the family moved out of town.
In other business, council members:
Approved a 3-foot variance for 612 Longhorn Dr. for the construction of a carport. Approved a 3-foot variance for 415 Longhorn Dr. for the construction of a carport. Heard City Administrator Ken Thomas say the city has developed a “punch list” for Prater Equipment, the contractor on the street improvement project, to complete in order to finish out the project.
Thomas said it is mostly “cleanup,” but said some concrete work needs to be done. Thomas and Mayor Bob Mangrum said the project turned out well.
“These are normal things,” Mangrum said of the work left to be done.
