SANTA ANNA — Maggie Cope Robinett, 92 of Santa Anna, passed away Sunday afternoon, March 13, 2016, at the Coleman County Medical Center. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Allcorn Funeral Care. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Northside Baptist Church with Bro. Marvin Hale officiating. Interment will follow at the Santa Anna Cemetery, under the direction of Allcorn Funeral Care.

Maggie was born Jan. 17, 1924, in Coleman County to William Dan and Elva Cope. She attended Lost Creek School and was valedictorian of her class. She married Robert Robinett in Coleman, on Dec. 5, 1942, and have celebrated 73 years of marriage. They had four children. She is a lifelong resident of Coleman County. Maggie worked at the Piggly Wiggly, H&H Grocery, and was co-owner of Robinett’s Garage. She was a member of the Northside Baptist Church, of Santa Anna. Robert and Maggie received a long time service to the church award on the church’s 65th anniversary.

Maggie is survived by her husband, Robert Robinett of Santa Anna; three daughters, Linda White and husband Jerry of Santa Anna, Jean Findley and husband Ray of Santa Anna, and Gail Horner and husband Richard (Dickey) of Santa Anna; one son, David Robinett and wife Shelley of Santa Anna; one brother, William D “Pete” Cope and wife Maxine of Coleman; four sisters, Frances Greer and husband Clinton of Carlsbad, N.M., Dovie Francis of Cedar Park, Wanda Green of Abilene, and Carlene Burns of Abilene; one sister-in-law, Allene Cope of Coleman; 10 grandchildren, Cindy Pelton and husband James, Troy Peirce and wife Mindy, Penny White, Kasha Bartholomew and husband Ryan, Scott Findley and wife Paula, Mandy Hunter and husband Mark, Brandi McIver, Briana Guthrie and husband Tom, Shyler Farley and wife Davia, Caylie Robinett and fiancée Taylor Smith; one special honorary grandchild, Brittany Morris; great-great Grandchildren, Chrystal Morgan and husband Tyler, Jennifer Rambo and husband Josh, Jessica Cheaney and husband Chris; 15 other great-great grandchildren ; and four great-great-great grandchildren survive.

Maggie was preceded in death by her parents, one brother WV “Jiggs” Cope, and one sister Dorothy Waddell.
