Funeral services for Frances Bangert, 79, of Lake Brownwood, will be at 2 p.m. today in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Rocky Creek Cemetery. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bangert died Wednesday, July 6, 2016.
Frances was born on Jan. 26, 1937 in Stamford to Melvin and Margaret (Anderson) Harvey. She graduated from Ysleta High School in El Paso. She married Kenneth Bangert on Dec. 28, 1987 in Las Vegas, Nev. She worked for many years in retail at Albertson’s, Bargain City and Peddler’s. She enjoyed gardening, playing card games, bunko, dominoes and wood crafts. With her outgoing personality, you were only a stranger once. Frances was a member of the Lake Brownwood First United Methodist Church.
Frances is survived by her husband of 28 years, Kenneth Bangert of Lake Brownwood; nine children, Rose Baumann, Landa and Mike Autry, Berna Blazier and Rick Erickson, Cindy and Clay Toombs, Cindy and Richard Pierce, Richard and Nola Baumann, Cheryl and Terry Davis, Kenny and Theresa Bangert and Scot and Robin Loranc; 20 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and three on the way; siblings, Lillie Harvey, Cecil and Elaine Harvey and Odia Harvey; and best friend, Nell Henderson.
