COLEMAN — Funeral services for Addie Lee Hopper Hinds, 88, of Coleman, was held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 29, 2016 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel in Coleman with Rev. Loyd Hopper officiating, assisted by Rev. Jody Rodriguez. Burial was in the Coleman City Cemetery.

She died Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Holiday Hill Nursing Home.

She was born May 4, 1928 near Voss in Coleman County to Oly Boston “O.B.” Hopper and Gladys Viola Cox Hopper. On Oct. 24, 1948, she married Carroll Hinds in Voss.  She worked at Perry Brothers, in the cafeteria at Talpa-Centennial School and subbed as a mail carrier.  She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Talpa.

Survivors include three sons, David Hinds and wife Pam of Coleman, Steve Hinds of Coleman and Philip Hinds and wife Amy of Coleman; one daughter, Laura Dees and husband Ral of Denver City; one brother, Loyd Hopper and wife Edwina of Coleman; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll; four brothers, James Hopper, J.D. Hopper, Ira Hopper and R.W. Hopper; three sisters, Grace Loyd, Lavada Evans and Mattie Marie Hopper; and one grandson.
