BENTONVILLE, Ark. – Fannie Estella Chaney, 84, homemaker, died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016. A memorial will be held on Jan. 3, 2017, to be followed by a graveside service at Alexander Cemetery in Alexander. Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home of Stephenville.

Fannie was born in Mullin on Jan. 21, 1932, to Ernest and Jewell (Clark) Ingram. She grew up with her younger brother, Gene Ingram, who died on Aug. 9, 1974. Fannie married her high school sweetheart, Charles L. Chaney, also of Mullin, on Dec. 21, 1951. During 64 years of marriage, Fannie and Charles lived in Texas, Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, Georgia, and Arkansas. Charles preceded Fannie in death on March 2, 2016. She was a member of the Acton Baptist Church in Acton.

Survivors include her children, Carey Chaney and wife Debbie of Bentonville, Ark., Bart Chaney and wife Andrea of Dallas, and Gena Porter of Bentonville, Ark.; sisters-in-law, Dianna Locke of Stephenville, LaWana Chaney of Stephenville, and Musette (Ingram) Snapp of Early; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and five nieces and nephews, including Donna Johnson of Brownwood, and Teresa Love of Early.
