Funeral services for Eldon Ray Tupin, 86, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17 at Comanche Funeral Home with Dr. Van Christian officiating. Burial will follow at Mercer’s Gap Cemetery in Comanche County. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
He died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016, in Comanche.
He was born Wednesday, Nov. 19, 1930, in Dallas, to Roy Lewis and Jewell (McKinzie) Tupin. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving one year of active duty and six years active Army Reserves. On May 5, 1950, he married Melba Ruth Thomas in Comanche County.
Survivors include his wife, Melba Ruth Tupin of Comanche; daughter, Beverly Mercer and husband Bret of Austin; son, Kyle Tupin and wife Debbie of Houston; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one brother, Kennard Tupin of Fort McKavett.
