Cheryl Vaughan-Delce, 65, of Fort Worth, passed away Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017. A visitation will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30 at Mount Zion Baptist Church with internment to follow at Greenleaf Cemetery.

Cheryl was born in Kaufman to Idelia and Homer Vaughan. She moved from Kaufman to Brownwood at an early age. She worked numerous jobs but was most known for her teaching at Headstart. Cheryl eventually moved to Fort Worth, where she would reside for the remainder of her life.

Cheryl was always the life of the party, loved people — especially her family — and is remembered as always being a strong person and never complaining.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Simon Delce; sisters, Debora Blackman and Dovie Kathryn Hawkins; and also her brother, Erskine Earl Hawkins.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, LaTresa Jackson (Donald Earl) of Fort Worth; her sons, David Morgan (Larale) of Brownwood; Willie Morgan Jr. (Martha) of Brownwood, Eric Morgan (Gwendolyn) of Brownwood, Desi Lujan (Kendra) of Brownwood, Jason Morgan (Jessica) of Brownwood; grandchildren, Lamont Vaughan (Amber) of Brownwood; Aisha Coleman (Joe) of Fort Worth; Tittanna Morgan, David Morgan Jr., Julius McNew and DeAndre Goodman; sisters, Karlous Wren of Fort Worth and Diana Wren of Arlington; a brother, Richard Charles of Arlington; and numerous nieces, nephews, great grandchildren extended family, and many friends.
