COMANCHE — Funeral services for Udell Akin, 100, of Comanche, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 5 at Heartland Funeral Home of Comanche, with burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 4 at the funeral home.
She went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, April 28, 2018, in Brownwood.
She was born in Comanche County to Jess and Una Huggins Williford on Oct. 22, 1917. She married Curtis R. McKinzie Aug. 7, 1938.
Survivors include by her daughter, Anita Fay McKinzie Lockett and husband Jody of Eden; son, Paul Ray McKinzie and wife Sharon of Comanche; grandchildren, Michael (Ruby) Stuard of Valera, Barry Stuard of Canyon Lake, Kristi Stuard and Misti (David) Killingsworth, all of Weatherford, Tammy Lockett of Eden, Michael Lockett of Eden, Kelly McKinzie of Houston, and Paige (Kelly D.) Juergens of Celina; great-grandchildren, Michaela Hoelscher, Garrett Stuard, Krystal Murdoch, Jody Carson, McKinzie Killingsworth, Cooper Killingsworth, Madison Gray, Brandon Stuard, Danielle Stuard, Kyler Juergens, Kinzie Juergens, Keaton Juergens, Shelbi Lockett, Alli Lockett, Casi Tribbett, and Dillon Helms; ten great-great grandchildren; are two sisters, Neva Williford Crumley of Pantego and Ann Williford Ellis of Comanche; nieces and nephews, Vic Williford, Barbara Tate, James Crumley, Patricia Hurt, Stephen Crumley, Joe Williford, Harold Williford, Ross Ellis, and Elizabeth Ann Wallace. Preceding her in death were her parents, Jess and Una Williford; sister, Frances Williford Fritts; brothers, Jess Williford, Jr. and Durward Williford; nephew Randal Williford; and niece, Gaye Williford.
