WHON — Paul S. Johnson passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2018 in Brownwood.
Paul was born Nov. 8, 1952 at home in rainy Mesquite, New Mexico to Troy and Louise Johnson.
He married the love of his life, Sue Roberts, on Oct. 22, 1977 in Anthony. They lived the early years of their life together in New Mexico and moved to Texas in August of 1992.
Paul managed a ranch for Cleber Massey for 30 years and was passionate about his job. He was a great friend to many and a cowboy through and through. He loved to ride and work cattle and had many hobbies. He had a constant desire to learn and improve his skill. He loved to work leather, forge, and work with metal and had built many saddles, belts and spurs. Most of all, he loved his family.
Mr. Paul S. Johnson is survived by his wife, Sue Johnson of Santa Anna; daughter, Ebby Cooper and husband Chad of Brownwood; daughter, Mackenzie Coyle and husband Brian of Brownwood; son, Tyson Johnson and wife Jennifer of Santa Anna; grandchildren, Siena Salas, Phillip Salas, Carson Coyle, Kori Coyle, Sidney Johnson, Harper Johnson and Owen Johnson; sisters, Faye Pritchett, Dody Owens, and Barbara Impellitier; brothers, Joe Johnson and Danny Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Elayne Morey.
A memorial for Paul will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 14 at Heartland Funeral Home in Early.
