Funeral services for Gayle Allen Banner, 73, will be at held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct.18 at Comanche Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Comanche County. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17 at the funeral home.
She went to Heaven to be with her Lord on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2018.
She was born Feb. 14, 1945 in Arp to Jack and Lois Allen. She married John Cullen Banner Jr.
Survivors include her husband, John Cullen Banner Jr. of Comanche; daughters, Karen Banner Samford and Jay Palmer of Mansfield and Kristine (Kristi) Banner Adams and her husband Kurt Adams of Frisco, sister, Jackie Willingham and her husband David of Gustine; grandchildren, Austin Adams of Fort Worth; Payton Adams of Frisco, Jamy Akins of Beeville, and Bristow III, Waldrop, and Ty Samford of Columbus, Georgia; nephews, Barry Willingham of Midland, Craig Willingham of Gustine and Mark Willingham of The Woodlands; and niece, Tjuna Douglass of Bryan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Lois Allen of Gustine; in-laws, John Cullen Banner Sr. and Neva Banner of Hico; sister-in-law, June Parks; brother-in-law Ray Parks of Hico; son-in-law Bristow Samford Jr., of Woodstock, Georgia; nephew, Ricky Parks of Hico; and niece, Theresa Parks Nippers of Lake Charles, Louisiana.
