Cecil Mack Harvey passed from this life Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019.

A visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1 at Heartland Funeral Home and a graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 at the Rocky Creek Cemetery on Highway 279 north of Brownwood.

Cecil Mack Harvey was born in Stamford to Melvin and Margaret Harvey on March 21, 1935. Cecil operated and managed grocery stores most of his life. He married Elaine Madrid in Ysleta on April 17, 1955 and their union was blessed with four children. Cecil was a Dallas Cowboys fan and loved fishing. He really loved coaching little league and basketball. Cecil was a loving and dedicated man to his work and his family.

Cecil is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Elaine Harvey; daughter, Kathy DeLoof of Brownwood; sons David Harvey of Brownwood and Bruce Harvey of Desert Hot Springs, California; sisters, Lillie Harvey and Odia Mae Harvey, both of El Paso; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Cecil was preceded in death by a son, Alan Harvey in 2010; his parents; and a sister, Frances Bangert.
