Funeral services for Rev. Emilio Diaz, 60, of Coleman, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24 at Stevens Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Coleman City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23 at the funeral home.
He was born Nov. 3, 1958 in Lamesa to Buster Diaz and Aurora Suniga Diaz. On Nov. 19, 2011, he married Christian Caballes in Coleman.
Survivors include his wife, Christian Diaz of Coleman; seven children: Emilio Darnell Diaz of Belton, Nicholas Darell Diaz of Belton, Nicolette Emilia Diaz Lanham of Coleman, Kalie Danielle Diaz Perez of Coleman, Adelai Lanham of Coleman, Emme Christine Diaz of Coleman, and Buster Pio Diaz of Coleman; 11 brothers and sisters: Diana Umana of Brownwood, Richard Diaz of Bangs, Elizabeth Vences Diaz of Houston, Felix Diaz of Coleman, Dorsey Bustamante of Brady, Silvia Diaz of Brady, Dora Diaz of Dallas, Mary Lou Diaz of Brownwood, Judy Espitia of San Angelo, Jimmy Diaz of Coleman and Joey Diaz of Houston; and two grandchildren: Kutter Diaz of Belton, Aven Diaz of Richland Springs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Buster and Aurora Diaz; and a sister, Leticia Diaz.
