Jimmy was born to Thelma Floyd and Jimmy Wood on March 22, 1949, in Burnet. He retired from the Department of Corrections after 30 years. Jimmy was a proud American and proud of his Air Force service and deployment in Vietnam.
A man of few words but many stories.
He was an avid reader and would read three to four books a week for most of his adult life. He loved history, specifically Texas history.
His greatest joy was his grandchildren, but he could never express how much love he had for his whole family.
Jimmy is survived by his four children, Jimmy J Konogeris and his wife Lisa, Andrew Konogeris, Jennifer McEachern and her husband Jason, Austin Konogeris and his wife Ashley; nine grandchildren, Jenavive, Jason, and Jocelyn McEachern, Anderson and Adley Konogeris, Aja and Jay Rivera, Ian and Heather Jacobson; and three great-grandchildren, Bentley Berrera, Leila and Oscar Rivera.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Konogeris; parents, Tom and Thelma Konogeris, and Jimmy Wood; and a grandson, Baby Konogeris McEachern.
