Thomas “Tommy” Coleman, 56, of Brownwood, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at the VA Hospital in Temple after a sudden illness.

A Celebration of Life for Tommy will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 27 at Haven of Hope Church. Private interment will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Tommy was born on June 18, 1962, to Thomas and Jonita (Thompson) Coleman in Coleman, Texas. Tommy served in the United States Army from 1982 to 1986. He married Beth (Powell) Johnson on Nov. 22, 2012, in Brownwood.

Tommy is survived by his wife, Beth Coleman of Brownwood; two daughters, Carmon Hooper and husband Quincy of Comanche, and Lisa Lara of Laredo; two sons, Frank Coleman of Crystal City and T.J. Coleman of Brownwood; one step-daughter, Michelle Beauchamp and husband Rick of Breckenridge; one sister, Amanda Reynolds and husband Michael of Brownwood; one brother, Mario Coleman of Zephyr; and grandchildren, Vanessa Williams and husband Conner of San Antonio, Melissa and Adrian Lara of Crystal City, Harlie Leach of Brownwood, David Leach of Early, Weston, Gavyn, and KatyLynn Wilson of Breckenridge. He is also survived by his ex-wife, Carol of Comanche; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Jonita Coleman; one sister, Paula Paskewitz; and one brother, Kenneth Earl Coleman.
