COMANCHE — Dorman Hanks, 88, of Comanche, passed away in Brownwood Saturday, May 18, 2019. A graveside service, under the direction of Heartland Funeral & Cremations, will be held 2 p.m. Monday May 20 at the Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery in Mills County. The family will greet friends 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, May 19 at the Heartland Chapel in Comanche. Dorman was born July 31, 1930, in Goldthwaite, to Earnest and Ora Mae (Griffin) Hanks. He attended and graduated from Goldthwaite High School. Dorman married Donna Faye Hinson and served in the United States Army during the Korea campaign as an Infantryman. His hobbies were fishing and hunting and was a member of the Hope Masonic Lodge of Comanche.

Dorman is survived by daughter, Berva Dawn Fryar and Kendal Smith of Brownwood; son, Brent Hanks; grandchildren, Tate and Cassidy Fryar of Brownwood, Brittany and Tom Doweidt of Fort Worth; one great-grandchild; special friend and caretaker, Jimmie Pair.

He was preceded in death by wife, Donna Faye Hanks; and parents, Earnest and Ora Mae Hanks.
