Ronald Anthony Harling, 60, of Lewisville formerly of Brownwood, passed away Monday, July 1, 2019 at Medical City Lewisville with family by his side. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 13, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 12 at the Brownwood Funeral Home Chapel.

Ronald, also known as “Puff,” was born in Brownwood to Robert Harling Sr. and Nellie Hawyer-Luckey. Ronald received his primary education from Brownwood schools. Ronald had a very outgoing personality, loved to laugh and could put a smile on anyone’s face. He loved his family and getting together for family events. Puff loved watching sports, and his favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Harling Sr.; son, Edward Earl Franklin; brothers, Robert Harling Jr., and Lyndon Harling Sr.; and sister, Pamela Franklin.

Left to cherish his memories are wife, Petronila Lago of Lewisville; mother, Nellie Luckey of Brownwood; daughters, Rhonda Franklin and Darcel of Lewisville, and Geneva Franklin-Broadnax and David of Grand Prairie; brother, Phillip Harling of Brownwood; five grandchildren, Tyriq Bradley, Edward Earl Franklin Jr., Khevon Calamease, Kaiyai Johnson, and Nautica Gaines; five great-grandchildren, Kourtnei, Kingston, Aniya, Zuri, and Mia; lifelong special friends, Erma Hall and Denise Potter; step daughters, Evelyn Arguijo and Sayda Arguijo, both of Dallas; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
