A funeral service for Johnny B. Singleton, 72, of Rising Star, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in Corsicana. Burial will follow at Providence Cemetery in Mildred. Visitation was held Tuesday night at Heartland Funeral Home in Early and will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in Corsicana.
He passed away on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2019.
He was born on March 14, 1947 in Eureka to B.E. Singleton and Verla McNeil Singleton.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; daughters: Johnna Boucher of Rising Star, Beth Pate of Granbury, and Melissa Singleton of Rising Star; grandchildren: Ben, Bethany and Bree Boucher of Rising Star, and Caden Pate of Granbury; special family friends: Troy Wilson and Tim Trigg; sister: Patty Toland; brother and sister-in-law Robert and Martha Singleton, and brother-in-law, Nelson Galaway, all of Corsicana; sister-in-law and husband: Leah and Wayne Greenup of Canyon; brother-in-law and wife: Robert and Velma Ballew of Frost; and a great number of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews he loved dearly.
