Leslie Adams, 33, of Brownwood passed away Sunday, Sept. 8, 2019 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14 at Victory Life Church located at 901 C.C. Woodson in Brownwood, with burial to follow at Greenleaf Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13 at Greater Faith Community Church, located at 417 Wesley St. Brownwood. Brownwood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Leslie was born Nov. 4, 1985 in Dallas to parents Ilita Adams and Leslie M. Adams. Leslie moved to Brownwood at an early age, receiving his primary education from Brownwood Independent School District. While in high school Leslie excelled in many things: powerlifting, and football in particular, receiving countless awards including all-district and all-state. Leslie was a phenomenal athlete, an outstanding linebacker, and amazing friend. Leslie graduated from Brownwood High School in 2004, then enrolled at Cisco Junior College. Leslie then transferred to Eastern New Mexico University to continue his football career.
Left to cherish his memories are mother, Ilita Adams and Harold McMillian of Brownwood; father, Leslie M. Adams of Iowa; son, Jacobi Lachance of Abilene; daughter, Brooklyn Adams of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sister, Charity Adams (Ron Williams) of Brownwood; three nieces, Chloe, Courtnee and Cam Williams of Brownwood; uncles, Jodie Miller, LaJon Miller, and Draco Miller (Sonja), all of Brownwood, and Dwight Allen of Abilene; aunts, Brenda Williams (Robert) of Brownwood, Catherine Shaw of Brownwood, and Shelia Jacques of Brownwood; his football brothers; and a host of cousins extended family and many friends.
