Terry L. Shifflett AKA “Fred,” of Abilene and formerly of Brownwood, went to his heavenly home Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019. He passed away at an Abilene nursing home. Graveside services with military honors will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8 at the Zephyr Cemetery.

Girdner Funeral Home of Abilene is in charge of arrangements.

Terry was a beloved father, husband, brother, and son. He served his country in the Desert Storm war as a medical specialist. He had a contagious sense of humor and never met a stranger.  He will be missed by many, but we know he is rejoicing being reunited with those who went to heaven before him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Revah Shifflett; his parents, Jack and Corrie Shifflett; sister, Brooksie; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ed and Lola Richardson.

Those left to cherish his memory are son, Brandon Shifflett of Brownwood; sister, Dee Dee Shifflett of Abilene; brother, Mike Shifflett of California; Brenda Chapman; sisters-in-law, Virginia Horn and husband Robert of Arkansas, Debra Simpson of Oklahoma; Shirley Stovall and husband Gary of Early. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
