Leland was born on July 27, 2009, to Charlie Cass II and Jennifer (Mayes) Cass in Weatherford. He was truly a miracle, not only coming into this world but when he left by giving the gift of life to other kids in need.
Like most kids his age, Leland loved riding bikes and roller blading, playing the game APEX, growing things, and treasure hunting. Most of all, he loved Jesus and God.
Left to cherish his memories are his mom and dad, Jennifer and Charlie Cass of Brownwood; brothers and sisters, Danna, Keirsten, Tyler, Thomas, and Cherish; maternal grandparents, Elizabeth Barton of Early, John and Debora Mallone of Brownwood. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Linda Ferguson and Charles Cass; two uncles, Michael Mallone and James Turner.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to LifeGift, (LifeGift – North Region, 1000 12th Ave., Fort Worth, Texas 76104) in memory and honor of Leland. Online condolences for the family are welcome at www.blaylockfuneralhome.com.
