Marion Speck Robnett left her earthly home on March 10, 2020 in Dallas at the age of 83. Marion was born on April 12, 1936 in Ennis to Lewis and Mary Alyce (Roberts) Speck. She graduated from Mary Hardin Baylor in 1956.

Marion taught school in the Dallas Independent School District in the early years of her career. During this time, Marion met and married the love of her life, Dr. John Robnett, DDS on June 14, 1958. Marion joined Dr. Robnett’s practice as his Office Manager after spending time at home with her three sons.

Her beautiful smile, care and love of his patients was renowned. She was always available for a listening ear and good advice. John and Marion enjoyed traveling together and loved trips to the mountains, California and Europe. Marion’s faith was at the center of her life.  She was a member of First Baptist Dallas for over 60 years.

A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, she is survived by her dear husband, John Yantis Robnett Sr. of Dallas; son, John Jr. Robnett of Dallas and grandchildren, John III (spouse Corey, great-grandchildren Abigail and John IV), granddaughter, Emily Robnett Haddock (spouse Johnathon, great-grandchildren, Colt and Quinn), granddaughter Rylie; son David Robnett of Brownwood (spouse Cindy and grandchildren Chandler and Connor) ;and son Mark Robnett of Dallas (granddaughter Paige). She also leaves behind a sister, Sherry (spouse Morris) Gotcher of Carrolton and brother Robert Speck.

Graveside services in Brownwood will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 15 at Greenleaf Cemetery with Pastor Tim Skaggs presiding. In case of Inclement weather, services will be moved to the CCC at Coggin Avenue Baptist Church.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 20 at First Baptist Dallas in the old Sanctuary with Dr. Robert Jeffress presiding. 

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations be made to Howard Payne University.
