Graveside services for Charlie Ray Fleming, 80, will be held Thursday, April 16 at Cleveland Cemetery under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Santa Anna. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 15 at the funeral home. In accordance with the COVID-19 restrictions a group of 10 friends and family at a time will be allowed for the brief visit.
He passed from this life to be with his Lord on Monday, April 13, 2020 at Shannon Medical in San Angelo.
He was born in Santa Anna on June 17, 1939 to Charlie Woodrow and Thelma Marie Cupps Fleming. On June 26, 1958, he married Frances Lamour Stearns in Trickham. She preceded his in death in 1991. On Sept. 4, 1993 he married Maria Rodriquez in Corpus Christi. He served his country with the United States Army in active duty and reserves from 1958-67.
Survivors include his wife, Maria Fleming of Cleveland; son, Christopher Ray and wife Christine Fleming of Allen; two sisters, Peggy Sikes of Bangs, and Margie Burns of Fort Worth; several nieces and nephews; and five grandchildren, Reece, Ryan, McKenna, Isabella, and Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Frances Fleming; and son, Leslie Fleming.
