SAN ANGELO ó Porfiria Guerra Daniel, 92, left this earth Sunday, Aug. 12, 2007, to rest and wait for her resurrection when the Lord calls her to join Him in heaven.

A service was held at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, in the Remembrance Chapel at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/ North. A celebration of her earthly life will be conducted by her son, Eliobardo G. Daniel, at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/North. Interment will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Services have been entrusted to the Gutierrez family.

Porfiria was born in Del Rio, Texas, Feb. 29, 1915, to her parents, Seferino Guerra and Paula Cantu. She married Eriberto Daniel, and they had seven children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Seferino Guerra; her husband, Eriberto Daniel; son Eriberto Daniel Jr.; two brothers; and two sisters.

She is survived by four sons, Lupe Daniel and wife Tomasa of Brownwood, Hector Daniel and wife Lala of San Antonio, Eliobardo Daniel and wife Socorro, and Jesus Daniel, all of San Angelo; two daughters, Rosario Daniel of San Angelo and Rosa Ortega of Fort Stockton; one sister, Aurora Guerra of Agujita, Coah., Mexico; and five special grandchildren whom she raised with love, Richard, Tony and Jorge Lomas, Gilbert and Arturo Mascorro. Also surviving are 14 other grandchildren, Jose, Johnny, and Mario Daniel, Ana Parker, David Daniel, Diana Gonzalez, Lupino, Toneta, and Lalo Daniel Jr., Lisa Campbell, Armira Hinojos, Eddie Daniel, Sonia Getchell and Joe Ortega; 37 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers for the service will be Richard Lomas, Mario Daniel, Gilbert Mascorro, Arturo Mascorro, Lalo Daniel Jr., Aaron Gonzalez, Tony Lomas and Jorge Lomas.

The family wishes to express their appreciation of support given to them, especially Maria Rodriguez of Nurses Unlimited, the Senior Companion program and very especially to Rene Rendon of Hospice of San Angelo. Descanse en paz.
