Memorial services for Charles Edwin “Chuck” Deering, age 59, of Brownwood, formerly of Wyoming and Montana will be held at 1:15 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9, at Stevenson & Son Funeral Home in Forsyth, Mt. Mr. Deering passed away at his home on July 31, 2008, and was cremated under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home.
Chuck was born Aug. 20, 1948, in Thermopolis, Wy. He had lived in Brownwood for five months. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Carpenter’s Union, the NRA and the Forsyth Gun Club. Chuck was an avid hunter, marksman and fisherman. He was a wonderful husband and father, and he will be dearly missed. Chuck married Patricia Hipskind in Forsyth, Mt., on March 6, 1993.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia “Pat” Deering of Brownwood; daughter, Jamie Sue Crouch and husband, Tony, of Casper, Wy.; sons, Jerry Leonard and wife, Anja, of Lake Brownwood and Douglas Leonard and wife, Valerie, of Brownwood; father, William Deering of Forsyth, Mt.; brothers, Todd Deering of Forsyth, Mt., Ray Deering of Billings, Mt. and Mark Deering of California; sisters, Diane Gish of Chester, Mt., Donna Reid of Havre, Mt., and Jan Zuelke of Havre, Mt.; grandchildren, Cheyenne Crouch, Krystal Patrick, Lynn Leonard, Andrea Leonard, Danny Hogue and Hunter Leonard.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marguarite Deering.
