BRADY — Funeral services for Leopoldo “Leo” Cervantes, 92, of Brady, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 2, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Brady with Father Joseph Valthalloor officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery in Brady under the direction of Leatherwood Memorial Chapels.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
He died Tuesday, May 29, 2007, in Brady.
He was born July 14, 1914, in Brady to Romulo Luis and Julia Mireles Cervantes. On Dec. 27, 1959, he was married to Hortencia Villarreal in San Angelo.
Survivors include his wife, Hortencia Cervantes of Brady; daughters, Norma Hagen and Mary Alice Rodriguez, both of Brady; brother, Nepolean Cervantes of Red Oak; sisters, Doris Delgado of Fort Worth, Julia Peterson of Arlington and Theresa Wise of Baytown; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
