GOLDTHWAITE — Graveside services for J. D. Kight, 95, of Goldthwaite, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24, at Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery with Brother Doug Holtzclaw officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., today at the funeral home.
He died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
He was born June 30, 1912, in Mullin to John Lee and Dixie Edmondson Kight. On Nov. 4, 1933, he was married to Faye Massey in Mills County. She preceded him in death on July 8, 1989. On March 15, 1990, he was married to Mae Faulkner. She preceded him on June 12, 2005.
Survivors include his daughter, Loretta Rickel of Goldthwaite; son, Jerry Kight of Southlake; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mattie May of Fort Worth.
In addition to his wives, he was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lydia Tyler.
