COLEMAN - Services for Josephine Hefner, 87, of Coleman, are set for 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 25, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Santiago Udayar officiating. Burial will follow at the Coleman City Cemetery under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home.
Rosary services will be at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel.
She died Friday, Aug. 22, 2008, at a Coleman nursing home.
She was born on Oct. 26, 1920, on her fatherís sugar plantation in Tucuman, Argentina, the daughter of Jose and Josephine Lopez Perez. She was raised in Argentina. She was married to Bob Hefner June 2, 1955, in Houston. She has been a resident of Coleman since 1979 where she was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Bob Hefner of Coleman; sister, Juana Dunlap of Lakeland, Fla.; brother, Cloudio Perez of Argentina; brother-in-law, Wayne Hefner of Coleman; a nephew, several nieces and several great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Maritza Hefner in 1971.
