He loved to play bingo and to hear the “ching-ching” of the slot machines. His greatest love was his family, and he loved to go to family gatherings. They always looked forward to his coming in on his little red scooter. He never met a stranger and he loved to visit.

He is survived by his wife, Yoland Chapa of Brownwood; two sons, Daniel Chapa of Abilene and Tony Chapa of Odessa; two daughters, Gracie Chapa and Julie Rodriquez of Brownwood; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Olivero Chapa of Georgia; and two sisters, Gloria Garcia of Brady and Sylvia Ramirez of Georgia.
