SAN SABA — Funeral services for Mina Mae Alcorn, 73, of San Saba, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home with George McHorse officiating. Burial will follow at the Wallace Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
She died Friday, Nov. 16, 2007, in Dallas.
She was born April 18, 1934, in Hillsboro, the daughter of Elbert Reed and Lorene Blackwood Reed. She was married to Raymond Alcorn on Sept. 8, 1951, in Rockwall, and they had lived in San Saba since 1976. She attended Parkview Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond Alcorn of San Saba; one daughter, Brenda Jean Steed and her husband Ronnie of Mesquite; one son, Ronald Ray Alcorn and his wife Kelly of Kaufman; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Jim Reed of Bridgeport; one sister, Clarice Caldwell of Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Dalton Reed; and one great-granddaughter, Brianna Nichole Capps.
The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
