BRADY — Memorial service for Carl Robert Palmer, 81, of Brady will be at 3 p.m. Friday, July 11, at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels. He died Monday, July 7, 2008, in Brady.
He was born June 17, 1927, in Summit County, Colo., to Archie W. and Christina Marie (Bach) Palmer. He was married to Berneice L. Motz on OCt. 22, 2001, in Brady. He had lived in the area since 2000, moving from Colorado. He was a Chrisitan, a rancher and businessman who served in the U.S. Army. He was a leader in 4-H, youth group and roping club.
Survivors include his wife, Berneice Palmer of Brady; three daughters, Peggy Watkins of Comanche, Shirley Blancard of Katy and Sue Ford of Kersey, Colo.; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Archie, Isaac and Russell Palmer; three sisters, Sarah, Marie and Elsie; and a son, Clyde Edmondson.
Memorials may be made to the McCulloch County Junior Livestock Association and VFW Post No. 3234.
