Polly Anna Holubec, age 64, of Rising Star, Texas, went home to be with the Lord Friday, Nov. 30, 2007.

Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007, at Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Wolf Valley Cemetery. The family received friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, at Heartland Funeral Home.

Polly Anna Roberds was born Aug. 9, 1943, in Crow Mountain, Ark., the daughter of the Marvin and Verda Bowden Roberds. She was raised in Lubbock and attended Lubbock High School. Polly was married to Ken Holubec on May 7, 1976, in Irving, Texas. Polly held an insurance and annuity license, she worked for Insurance Specialists in Brownwood for 12 years. She loved hunting, fishing, crafts and collected mice ornaments. She had a great love of the outdoors. Polly was a member of the May Baptist Church. She and her husband had lived in the Brownwood area for the past 12 years moving here from the Dallas Metroplex.

Polly is survived by her husband, Ken Holubec of Rising Star; her mother, Verda Roberds of Colleyville, Texas; three brothers, Billy Dean Roberds and wife Shirley of Adkins, Ark., Marlin Roberds of Russellville, Ark., and Ronnie and Karen Roberds Natural Dam, Ark. She is also survived by two sisters Rita Faye Taylor of Euless, Texas, and Dana Gay Freudenrich and husband Allen of Princeton, Texas.

Polly was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Roberds.
