Anna Mae Knighten Morgan went home to be with her Lord on Aug. 20, 2007, at the Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007, at the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Grosvenor, Texas.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

She was residing temporarily at Songbird Lodge with her husband, the Rev. Morris Morgan.

Anna was born March 20, 1930, in Caw City, Okla. She was a homemaker most of her life.

Anna is survived by her husband, the Rev. Morris Morgan of Brownwood; one son, James Avey of Seattle, Wash.; and two daughters, Janet and husband Dan Bolton of Brownwood and Angela and husband David Dillon of Florence, Colo. She was blessed with seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Roxeann, Jodie, Danette, Chad, Ethan and Joshua. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Cora Lee Springer of Chattanooga, Tenn., Mary and husband Bill Reichstadt of Miami, Okla. and Jeanne Cross of DeWitt, Ark.; one brother, Robert and wife Betty Knighten of Sedalia, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert F. and Cora Esther Miller Knighten; one brother, Woody; and two sisters, Dorothy and Nancy.
