BRADY - Funeral services for Mae Jean Sullins, 78, of Brady will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady, with the Rev. Randall Larr officiating. Burial will follow in Calf Creek Cemetery in Calf Creek.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
She died Monday, Oct. 20, 2008, in Brady.
She was born June 12, 1930, in Brady, to John Henry Bradshaw and Eula Mae (Barnett) Bradshaw. She was married to Marvin Duane Sullins. She moved back to Brady in 1994 from Hobbs, N.M. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Brady Community Church. She was also a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for many years, and of the Moose Lodge and Lee County Cowboy Hall of Fame in Hobbs, N.M. She taught country dancing and advanced sewing at the New Mexico Junior College in Hobbs.
Survivors include her daughters, Derinda Catlett of Brady and Trisha Jones and husband Kress of Hobbs, N.M.; brother, Johnny W. Bradshaw and wife Glenda of Calf Creek; sister, Noma Faye Crisp and husband John of Red Oak; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; a son, Duane Neil Sullins; a brother, Jimmy Bradshaw; and one grandson.
