Amanda DeLone Connors, 17, went to be with the Lord early Sunday morning at Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas. She died as a result of injuries received from an automobile accident in Brownwood on Saturday afternoon.
Amanda was born June 27, 1990 in San Angelo. She attended Paradigm Charter School in Brownwood. As all who knew her can attest, Amanda was full of life. She loved sports, talking on the phone, spending time with friends and family, driving her car, and shopping. She was preparing to join the military following graduation, following in the footsteps of her mother.
She is survived by her mother, Sherry Connors, of Brownwood; a sister, Jessica Sellers, of Dallas; grandparents Glenda and Charlie Bruton of London, Texas; grandparents Ron and Margaret Sanders of Wichita Falls, great grandmother, Edith Sanders of Ponder, Texas; boyfriend, James Wagy of Fort Sill, Okla; Uncle Scott Wilkerson of San Angelo; Aunt Staci Kerchival of Fort Worth; Uncle Tracy Sanders of Fort Worth; Aunt Rebel Hart of Waco; Great Aunt Sharon Perdue of San Angelo; best friends Amy Wilson and Megan Carter of Bangs; many cousins and a host of friends.
Amanda was an active member of First Baptist Church, Bangs. She participated in numerous activities and loved the youth group.
A memorial service is planned for 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 19, at the First Baptist Church on the corner of Second and Goodwin Streets in Bangs, Texas. Memorials may be sent to the First Baptist Church, Bangs. For more information, contact the church office at (325)752-6724.
