Funeral services for Martha Ann Alexander Glasson, age 72, of Brownwood will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 1, at the Grosvenor Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Merrit and the Rev. David Barnum officiating. A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. in the Sand Hill Cemetery near Bend. Family visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Martha died Friday morning, Feb. 26, 2010, at the Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

She was born Jan. 1, 1937, at Donna, Texas the daughter of the late Thomas Floyd and Maggie Laura Davis Lagrone. She was married to Joe Ned Alexander at Austin on March 4, 1956. He preceded her in death in 1995. She later was married to Doyle Glasson in Brownwood on Feb. 11, 2000. She had been a resident of Brownwood since 2004 having previously lived in Bastrop, Austin, San Saba and Coleman. She was a homemaker and an active member of the Grosvenor Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Doyle Glasson of Brownwood; five sons, Ricky Alexander and wife Marlette of Needville, Keith Alexander and wife Gina of Spring, Texas, John Alexander and wife Misty of Waco, James Alexander of Hornsburg, S. C., and Thomas Alexander and wife Mary of Brownwood; 15 Grandchildren and a great-grandchild; and a sister, Stella Birch of Milano, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Joe Ned Alexander, a brother, Thomas Floyd Lagron, Jr. and a sister, Marilyn Alford.
