Graveside funeral services for Leona “Billie” Loudermilk, age 99, of Wichita Falls, formerly of Brownwood, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009, in Greenleaf Cemetery with Tom Washburn officiating under the direction of Davis-Morris Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 Tuesday evening.

Mrs. Loudermilk died Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, in Wichita Falls.

Billie was born June 19, 1910, in Mason County to Charley and Edna (Kothmann) Beasley. She attended Llano schools and a year of nursing school at Scott & White Hospital. In 1927 Billie moved to Brownwood. She was married to Earl Loudermilk on Oct. 7, 1935, in Coleman. He died Jan. 14, 1981. Together, Billie and Earl owned and operated Loudermilk Dry Cleaners from 1940 until their retirement in 1973. In retirement, Billie volunteered for 20 years with the Brownwood Regional Hospital Auxiliary. She was a longtime member of the Austin Avenue Church of Christ before moving to Wichita Falls in 2002 where she joined Faith Village Church of Christ. 

Billie is survived by two daughters, Patricia Walthier and Dolores Barnes, both of Wichita Falls; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two sisters, Althea Nelson and Nello Clinger.
