Graveside services for Leota Maurice Delisle, age 82, of Brownwood, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, at Eastlawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Leo Shaw officiating, internment to follow under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
She passed away Friday morning, June 15, 2007, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
Leota was born Oct. 12, 1924, in Gainesville, Texas, the daughter of the late Richard Doyle and Theada Thomas. She was a homemaker and a member of the Placid Baptist Church. She had been a resident of Brownwood most of her life.
Leota married Dallas Dee Delisle June 16, 1946, in Gainesville, Texas.
Survivors include a son, Richard Franklin Delisle of Azle, Texas; two daughters, Maurettia Crell of Hitchcock, Texas, and Almeta Pierce of Brownwood; two brothers, William Aurther Thomas of Boliver Island, Texas, and Doyle Thomas of Circleville, New York; nine grandchildren, Kevin Curry, Richard Curry, Wanda Curry, Daniel Curry, Kelly Moody, Amy Low, Timothy Delisle, Johnathon Delisle, and Jason Kelsey; and 12 great-granchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Delisle; a daughter, LaJuana Delisle Curry; and two brothers, Thayre and Ray Thomas.
