Wayne was born March 20, 1925 in Pleasant Valley, May area to Earl and Lela Falls. Wayne grew up in the Blanket community and made his home in Brownwood. Most people knew Wayne as "Preacher man" or the "The walker man" as he was always walking or driving around smiling and waving at everyone. He always had a smile and could visit as long as you had time to talk. When Wayne was visiting with somebody, he was whistling. He loved to whistle as he walked the isles of the store shopping. Wayne loved talking about Jesus and would tell anyone who would listen about how wonderful his Lord is. He always said "a stranger is a friend you haven't met yet". Wayne loved horticulture, he loved working with God's plants and helping things to grow and look beautiful, working over 30 years at Davis Floral. Wayne married Vena Olene Bishop on November 7, 1958 and they spent a wonderful life together. Wayne and Vena never had any children so they were very close to all their nieces, nephews and friend's children.

Wayne is survived by his nephew, Marcus Newman of Bedford; niece, Carla Fratt of Conroe; and 10 other nieces and nephews. He had many friends that he loved like family, Michael and Lorie McWhirter, Bobby and Tina Crouch, Michael and Kimberly Diaz, Nell Hicks all of Brownwood.

Wayne was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Vena Olene Falls; brothers, Jack Falls and Zachary Falls; sister, Margaret Newman.
