Huberta Kayrene Knoll
Huberta Kayrene Knoll went home to be with her Lord on July 15, 2021. Services are currently pending.
Kay was born in Cottonwood, Texas on June 27, 1946, to Hubert and Reva Luster. She grew up in both Texas and California. She met the love of her life, Clyde Knoll, in San Jose, California. They married August 31, 1969, and spent their honeymoon traveling through Texas to meet family on their way to North Dakota, where they first settled and started their family.
Kay excelled at many things. She was an accomplished seamstress, captivating storyteller, and had the most beautiful singing voice, especially when she sang and harmonized with her sister. Her talents were many, but her greatest accomplishments were her unwavering devotion and love to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She made sure that everyone in her family felt absolutely special—when you called her on the phone, you could hear the joy in her voice when she said your name. She was always so sweet, except when she was sassy. She was nostalgic and tender hearted, yet fiercely strong and bold when she needed to be. She was the bravest defender of her family, God, and her country. She left a legacy of love and integrity to all who knew her.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Reva; two sisters, Fern Faber and Neva Livingston; and two brothers, Hubert Luster Jr. and Wesley Luster.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Clyde Knoll; her son Travis Knoll; her three daughters, Tammy Ashby, Tanya Axtell and Tabitha Knoll Weber; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
