Betty Joanne Shipp

Betty Joanne Shipp, age 83, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021, in Wichita Falls.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 9, 2021, at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1715 Avenue I, Brownwood, Texas with Kevin Shipp of Sweetwater officiating. Inurnment will follow in Greenleaf Cemetery. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

Betty was born January 28, 1938 in Bakersfield, California to the late Leroy Titsworth and Louise Melvina Easttom Titsworth.

Betty married Harvey Lee Shipp on November 19, 1956. Together they had three daughters, Leah Suzette, Colette Faye and Betty Paulette.

Betty was a manager in retail sales for many years in Brownwood. She was a member of the First Church of Nazarene where she was the pianist. Betty enjoyed ceramics, crafting and playing games with her family. Her grandchildren were the love and joy of her life. Betty had an amazing green thumb and could make anything grow.

Survivors include her two daughters, Colette Faye Miller of Fredericksburg, Paulette Digby and husband, Chris of Wichita Falls; four grandchildren, LeAnn Schmidt and husband, Chris of Lockhart, Texas, Amber Foster and husband, Scott of San Antonio, Kallie Key and wife, Sarah of Dallas, Sarah Digby of Wichita Falls; three great-grandchildren, Cassidy and Christopher Schmidt of Lockhart, and Chloe Foster of San Antonio; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Suzette and brother, Roy Lee Titsworth.

The family would like to thank Charlotte Warren of Lubbock, RaLaura Breedlove and Victoria Martinez, both of Wichita Falls, for all the love and care that they showed Betty.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Road, Wichita Falls, Texas 76310.
